In another highly enjoyable, well-balanced clash between the two titans of C league, the Homers fell to the Maulers 20 to 19. The Homers, batting last, scored in every inning until the seventh despite a leadoff double by Alex, who was eventually stranded on third with Jesus on deck ready to hit another home run. Starting for the Homers were Don J at pitcher, Don F at catcher, Scott at first, Mary at second, Jason at short, Lela at third, Jesus in left, Kelly in left-center, Mark in right-center, and Alex in right. Jeff, Laurie, and Richard kept the bench warm for the first two innings. Rob from the Mauler side videotaped the game and is offering copies of his production, entitled "7 Innings of Glory", for the special introductory price of $9.95,. Captured on tape are not only the highlights soon to be discussed but also the off-field moments of controversy, such as the accusations of steroid abuse directed at Richard and Jeff, and the bloopers, such as the entire Mauler team flatulating in unison.

In large part due to the small dimensions of the playing field at Eaton Blanche Park, the Homers set a team record with 5 home runs, 3 by Jesus and 2 by Richard, one of which was a grand slam to put the Homers temporarily on top 9 to 5. The two teams together set a record for most balls lost in a game by putting 6 over the outfield fence. The Homers batted well again with Mary setting the pace by stroking two hits. Defensively, Jason made a really strong throw from deep in the hole at short to get Mary of the Maulers, and Mark made a nice catch near the wall in centerfield to help hold the Maulers scoreless in the top of the 7th inning. Failing to take advantage of that in the bottom of the last inning did not stop Richard, Laurie, Mark, Mary, Jeff, Jesus, Kelly, Don F, Don J, and Jason from going to Mijares afterward.

The schedule for the last month of play has not yet been determined.
