THe HOMERS improved their record and beautified the Universe by collecting the Cosmic Debris, 16 to 3. The line score was:

The HOMERS attack was well balanced, with every HOMER collecting at least one
hit and scoring at least one run. Playing for the HOMERS were: Jeff (1b),
Amy (of), Tim (ss), Beth (3b), Richard (p), Laurie (c), Ron (of), honorary
HOMER Karen (2b), and Jesus (of). The HOMERS played the entire game with only
9 players, which didn't matter much since the Cosmic Refuse deposited most of
their offensive trash near the pitcher's mound. Richard gets defensive honors
for participating in more than 1/3 of all put-outs, including 5 in a row at
one point. Offensive honors are shared between Ron who went 3 for 4 with 2
homers and Beth who went 4 for 5. Richard also pounded a 'tater. Laurie gets
officiating honors for learning to call fair and foul balls from behind the
plate.The next game is Wednesday, 7/13, at Pasadena High School against the Wild Turkeys. Please let Richard or Jeff know if you won't be able to make it.
