To quote Homer:
And so it was in the second meeting of the HOMERs and the Cyclones. It
was clear from start who were the wolves and who were the lambs as the
HOMERs quickly raced to a 10 run lead in the second inning.
Defensively, honors go to Jeff (Ozzie) Osman, who in his first game
playing at third base managed to "Richard" a throw to first (which was
later retrieved from the street by the Cyclones). Jeff acclimated to
his new position quickly after that, gunning down a swift Cyclone in
the seventh inning.
Next week's game is on Tuesday on H2 against the IR Sox from D league.
There may some tangled family relationships for this one so come out
early. There will also be a post-game barbecue since this is the game
closest to the Summer solstice. Everyone is encouraged to bring
whatever they want to char - specifics can be coordinated with
Richard.
Two upcoming HOMER outings:
August 9 - Angels vs. Orioles in Anaheim. Contact Richard for
information.
May 23, 1998 - road trip to Santa Barbara, free food will be
available.
There are no compacts between lions and men, and wolves and lambs
have no concord.

The HOMER offense was in top form with everyone getting at least one
hit. HOMERs were cracked by Ron (2), Tim (2), and Tony. Rich (Bullet)
Benesh gets noted for legging out a double and then moving to third on
a sacrifice fly ball in the fifth.
