The algorithm to determine the winner:
number of regular season games attended
if tied, irregular season games attended
if tied, lowest sum of order of appearance at regular season
games
if still tied, order of appearance at irregular games
Order of appearance also pretty much determines: 1) each game's batting
order,
2) the order of sitting out defensively,
and 3) who gets sent over to the other team if they don't
have enough. Note: the payment of team fees counts as an irregular
game.

It might be just a few weeks since the last game of the season, when
THE HOMERS met their longtime nemesis, the Voodoo Toad Fury. But for
someone who could not find the roster/scorecard until this morning, it
seemed like an ETERNITY.
And yet what can one say except, as Ron said after the dinner, "We almost
beat the Toads"? What clever story or angle can one possibly use, to
satisfactorily impart this tragic end to what was really a very nice
winning season? In the end, the best I could think of is to steal Jessica's
nice table for the roster, from her past report. At least the rows are
nice and straight, with a splash of color...
If the HOMERS could have gotten a few runs early on, this would have been
a real horse race, but only one run was scored until the fourth. Everyone
got at least one hit during the game, and the 5th and 6th innings got us
within 4. Homers were swatted by the two Tonys, "Goodness" Greicius and
"Go-Go" Ganino, in the 7th, but it wasn't enough.
Defensively, we had some great low- and no- scoring innings early on. In
the all-Tony inning, Goodness got two flyouts and Go-Go caught an infield
fly in the first. Go-Go hit Benash two times and Ron once to close out
another inning, keeping the Toads within reach. Christina got a force out
to Go-Go and another out by throwing to Rich in the fourth. Brian also
caught a few long ones and Go-Go threw to Annette to get a runner out,
among other good catches. Eric played admirably as part-time catcher and
full-time runner for those in need.
Spectators were Scott, Sue, Mary, Daniel, Rene, and Clement.
Dinner was at The Athenaeum with Jeff, Scott, Ron, Sue, Brian, Robb, Mary,
and Christina.

They call August and September the Dog Days of Summer. The Homers
apparently took this to heart, as they played this like dogs offensively,
managing only 8 runs during the contest. Tony Gr couldn't hit the ball
out of the infield, and Rich couldn't find a place where no one was standing
to hit the ball at. Some Homers did well - Brian got hits all three times up,
including a ground rule double on a homerun to center when his ball rolled
to the trees 350 feet away. Daniel had a pair of doubles, Becky got on
every time, and Ron had two hits, including a homerun to center when his
ball DIDN'T roll all the way to the trees.
Defensively, Annette made a nice catch of a looper at third base, Tony Gr
threw out a runner at 2nd base on what should have been a hit in the 3rd
inning, and Rich managed to keep Richard from making too many throwing
errors by stretching for a ball for the out and coming off the bag to snag
another bad throw.

When you start the game, they don't say "Work ball!" They say
"Play ball!" - Willie Stargell
And that is just what we did at Monday's game!
The Eclectic Eccentrics proved to be some tough competition for the Homer's
but we didn't let that stop us! You know what they say "Ninety percent of this
game is half mental (Yogi Berra)" and boy was that true. We fought back and
forth for the lead and eventually pulled through for a 23-17 win.
The game was kept in order by Ron who pitched an amazing game, and almost
brings McCarver's old adage to mind; Ron - is the luckiest pitcher I ever
saw. He always pitches when the other team doesn't score any
runs...almost. ;)
There was some amazing fielding by Brian and Tony G. who managed to make
it through the game with an ongoing injury. Jeff even managed the amazing
feat of scoring every time he was at bat contributing a total of 4 runs for
the team, followed by several strong hitters keeping the Homer's alive.
However, the play of the day goes to Jessica who stopped one hell of a
grounder in the 4th inning and ran it over to 2B to stop any of those pesky
phantom runners before getting it over to 1B. Gotta love a player who
has those fundamentals in place!
A big thanks to all of those who came out to play; Brian, Jeff, Scott, Ron,
Tony G., Christina, Taylor, Mark, AJ, Robb, Jessica, Richard & Rich.
Especially to those die-hard fans; Mary, Felix & Sue!
Here are a couple things I like to keep in mind when I play:
The other teams could make trouble for us if they win.

I think I throw the ball as hard as anyone. The ball just
doesn't get there as fast. - Eddie Bane

A game against the Radars, should be easy to handle. Several of their
players were late so the game started late with Becky playing an inning
for them so we could at least get started. Richard said, it'll be an easy
game, nothing to worry about. Email leaks would later prove that support
and coverage be shifted over to the Radars so less attention would be paid
to the Homers. All so Richard could recruit Josh over to his B league team,
dun dun dunnnn. Nothing this scandalous has ever been witnessed, especially
nothing that the DNC would ever do.
Tony hit 3 home runs in 1st, 3rd and the 5th innings, allowing Slim to
show boat how slow he can be, it doesn't happen often. Slim also had a
great jumping catch in the 3rd. Matt had a homerun in 2nd.

Note: This homers report was lost to the "upside down" for the past few
weeks and only recently recovered after a series of close calls with a
telekinetic bald girl, nefarious government agencies, bullies, and a very
dangerous email monster with no face. It was only due to the brave acts
of a few geeky, D&D playing JPL'ers that we were able to save the
report and restore order and balance to the Homers universe.
Hey...Stranger Things have happened.
The game between the Homers & Cinco Equis began with a bit of a
controversy as Jeff Osman refused to stand for the National Anthem,
citing recent offenses to the retired community, most notable that his
favorite daytime TV programs were recently cancelled, leaving him with
nothing to do but yard work and knitting. Players from both Cinco Equis
and the Homers together decried this action as boos erupted from the
on-looking fans (or would have if we had on-looking fans). There were
discussions about banning him from the game but in the end, we determined
that it was his right to protest ... and more importantly, we needed him
to take care of the rosters and scheduling in the future.
The team did not allow the distractions to affect them as they dispatched
of Cinco Equis by a score of 23-13. It was an uncharacteristically
methodical victory for the Homers as they scored early and often to hold a
lead in every inning, reaching mercy with a 10 run explosion in the 4th
and maintaining it throughout the game by holding Cinco Equis to only 5
runs in the final inning while avoiding a typical Homers late inning
meltdown that usually make a game interesting.
There were a few firsts in this game, as Chandini and Christina joined the
fray and each recorded their first Homers' hit while filling in nicely at
OF and 2B respectively. Offensively, Brian justified his lead off spot
(and not because he simply showed up first) by going 4 for 4. Jeff,
Tony Gr., Richard, and Taylor joined him in the 1000 club with their
own perfect efforts from the plate in this game.
Tony Gr. and Tony Ga. battled for home run supremacy by one-upping each
other twice for 2 HR's a piece, but Tony Gr. got the better of the battle
by knocking in a Grand Slam in the 4th. Worried that the team name may be
changed to the "Tonies and the Pussycats" next year, Matt stepped up with
a HR to close out the scoring while assuring that the the home run efforts
of everyone will continue to be recognized in the future.
Defensively, their were no notes, so the writer assumes that the all
outs were made by routine plays to the SS.
PS. I apolologize to Chandini if I massacred her name. The handwriting
on the scoresheet was...shall I say...bad.
From: Mark Edelstein
The Homers moved over to the south field for Wednesday's matchup and their
game appeared headed in the same direction after losing their second game
in a row, 23-18 to McKringleberries. The Homers's season-opening 10-game
winning streak now seems like a distant memory.
With the cover of their game program looking more like the cover of "Red
Badge of Courage," the Homers managed to scrape together enough healthy
players to field a team, but just barely. Then when Mark got a bit hamstrung
in the third inning, the Homers had to quickly call up Tony's daughter's
Alyssa and Haley from Triple A (er, junior high?) to complete the outfield
and help run the bases. (Let this be a warning to future Homer spectators
-- come ready to play. We might need you.) After Mark cluelessly got
doubled off first from a line drive by his own son, baserunning help was
greatly appreciated.
The evening was not, however, without some highlights. Taylor put outfielders
throughout the league on notice by launching a fifth-inning pitch far over
the left fielder's head for a stand-up double, then waltzed home on
Richard's ensuing two-run homer. In addition to stellar play at third
base, Becky ripped a clutch two-out, two-run double in the 2nd. Super
sub Alyssa contributed with two hits and sibling Haley ran the bases
with speed that most Homers followers haven't seen in years.
Contributing at the plate with at least three hits apiece were Ron, Rich,
Mark, Richard and Becky. Strong contributions in the field were provided
by ... nobody really. Defense was not a strong point for the Homers
Wednesday, though reports have surfaced that the McKringleberries found
more holes through bleeders, bloopers and chinkers than any team in
C-League history. Adding insult to the Homers's many injuries was losing
to a team with purple uniforms. Oh the ignominy.
Though it's unsure which were players, which were spectators and which
played dual roles, the following individuals were reportedly seen in the
vicinity of Wednesday's game: Jeff, Scott, Ron, Rich, Annette, Eric,
Rene(?), Taylor, Felix, Tony, Mark, AJ, Robb, Richard, Clement, Daniel,
Sheila, Haley, Alyssa, Becky, Danny, Bella, Sofi, Bob, Kathy, Wendy, Devin
and Matt.
The Homers hope to get back on track at their next game, Tuesday, July 19,
Hahamonga North vs. Cinco Equis. Mark and AJ will NOT be there but this
reporter has no clue who else will bail.

A shockwave hit the world this week. It was felt in practically every
corner of the world. It impacted the political world, the financial
markets, the worldwide media circus, and the lives of everyday people.
People are still in shock. The long-term effects are still uncertain.
It is unknown how this event will cause ripples throughout the rest of
the world. Yes, it is sad but true, the HOMERS lost their first game of
the season. Oh yeah, and BREXIT happened. Like the unbelieving Brits,
the HOMERS are thinking of appealing and asking for a do-over.

Big shout outs to Jenn who came out in the hot muggy weather to help out
the HOMERS by subbing, and to Eric L for graciously pinch running for
the aged and infirmed HOMERS.
Spectators: Sue, Eric, Clement, Wendy E.
Offensively there was not much to write about. There were no HOMERS home
runs. Brian did continue his hot hitting going 5-for-5 with every hit
being a double. Daniel went 4-for-4. The HOMERS 1st and 7th innings were
good, but we sort of fell asleep in the middle of the game.
Defensively the HOMERS had to scramble a bit when Rich had to leave the
game early, and then again when Daniel hurt himself in the 6th. Mark
continued with his sharp play at short-stop, although he did continue to
demonstrate his trait of falling down while making plays. It would make
a good highlight reel.
Dinner was a small and sad affair as the HOMERS tried to drown their
sorrows in pizza and beer (mostly pizza) at Round Table. In attendance
were: Jeff, Clement, Robb, Jessica, Ron, Sue, Annette, Daniel, and
Eric.
Next week there are no games due to the short week. We don't yet know when
the next HOMERS game will be. As soon as the schedule is released we
will pass it on.

BREAKING NEWS: The Moon votes to leave Earth
With the announcement of a new Earth companion - Asteroid 2016 HO3 -
the Moonites voted to leave the Earth in a campaign labeled "Moexit".
"You can guess what 'companion' really means", Moon Queen Luna was quoted as
saying. "The Moonites's will must be respected", said Moon Prime Minister
David Moonbeam after the
voting was completed. Moonbeam added, "I would also assure Moonites living
on Earth, there will be no changes in your circumstances."
Moonbeam didn't disclose how many Moonites were currently living
on Earth, but did say Eugene Shoemaker's ashes can remain
on the Moon "for now". Moonbean will remain as Moon Prime
Minister to "steady the moonship until its next destination".
It is unclear at this point what the Moon's new destination will be,
but it is well known that many Moonites fancy Saturn. Moonbeam also

WE BEAT THE TOADS!

Toads 3 2 2 0 2 0 0 9
The game was close and low-scoring at first, tied at 7-7 after the 4th inning.
The HOMERS defense - yes such a thing exists - clamped down and held the
Toads to only two more runs for the rest of the game. The game ended with
a mercy score, which is probably a first for us against the Toads.
The HOMERS remain undefeated and improve their record to 10-0.
The last time a HOMERS team started a season 10-0 was in 2003.
Defense: Wow, we played solid! Everthing catchable was caught. Kudos to the
outfielders: Brian, Richard, Mark & Scott. Taylor made about 3 forceouts
at 2nd. The game ended abruptly on a double play, when Ron snagged a hard
line drive hit up the middle and doubled off the runner at first.
Offense: Brian went 5 for 5 at leadoff including a triple. Tony provided
the muscle by going 4 for 4 with 2 home runs. Richard also went 4 for 5
with a home run. Taylor was robbed of a possible home run on hard shot
headed into the gap, but caught on a great play by their outfielder.
Richard's old friend Mark Edelstein and son AJ made their HOMERS debut,
and contributed with 4 hits & 3 hits respectively. Ron & Rich
also chipped in with 3 hits apiece.

Wir haben gewonnen! Dies erweitert unser Rekord zu 13-0.
Bravo Homers!
52 years and 51 weeks ago today, JFK gave his great "Ich bin ein Homer!"*
speech outside the Schöneberg Rathaus in West Berlin. The speech was a
defiant defense of democracy and self-government and it stood out as a high
point of his presidency.
Well, after a hard fought victory against the Titans this week, all of the
Homers who were present were also proud to say that "Ich bin ein
Homer!!!!"
* some historical records indicate he supposedly said "Ich bin ein
Berliner!", but since that can be translated to "I am a jelly donut",
it can't be right...
On the offensive side we were helped by good hitting combined with some
(usual C league) lucky breaks provided by the Titan defense: Daniel got
2 home runs; Ganino, Rich, Richard, and Daniel got on base each at bat,
and Brian got on all but one at bat. Ganino hit a deep automatic double
in the bottom of the sixth to bring in the winning RBIs from Ron and
Annette.
The defense also contributed - we didn't melt down in the 6th! Tony caught
a line drive and through the runner out at first in the 2nd inning for a
double play, Annette got a nice quick "protect the head" stop and force out
at second. Jenn also did a nice job at defense fielding and catching a fly
to right.

For the 8th consecutive time this year the HOMERS were able to light the
big "H" over Hahamongna field, this time to announce their victory over
the L.A. Radars (of La Canada). The HOMERS 8-0 record puts them in first
place in the mythical C League standings.
The game started slowly, with only 8 runs scored by both teams after 4
innings. Many plays were very slow to develop, appearing at times to be
executed in slow motion. The L.A. Radars had 8 players, and only 2 women,
so they were forced to take an out at the bottom of their lineup.
The offenses got going starting in the 5th, with a total of 34 runs scored
in the last three frames. The HOMERS once again showed their generosity by
allowing 11 runs to the L.A. Radars in the 6th inning after reaching the
mercy rule with a 10 run lead in the top of the 6th. With some good hitting
and suspect fielding, the HOMERS were able to re-take the lead in the top
of the 7th and hold on for the win, 23-19.
Many thanks to Jenn, Wendy, and Matt for filling in to replace missing
HOMERs - and Becky for showing up late to allow Jenn to go and vote. Matt
jolted a home run to earn a spot on the HOMER 'soul' list for the season
and Wendy quickly brushed off any rust to get some good hits and make some
plays on defense.

Dinner was held at Rounds Burgers, where Ron, Sue, Jeff, Scott, Rich,

The next game starts a very tough string of games for the HOMERs as they
face the Titans on the grass field on Monday, the TOADs in the traditional
Summer Solstice game on June 22, and the Paper Tigers at a date and
location to be announced. Please let Richard, and perhaps the retired Jeff,

Leading 4-1 after one inning, the Homers agonizingly gave back the lead in
the bottom of the second, only to rebound with 12 runs in the third to blow
the game open. The victory left the Homers' record at 7-0, a level not reached
in a dozen years, back when C League games were still played at the Rose Bowl.
The down side to the winning streak is the enormous buzz surrounding the team.
What began with a few munchie-seeking frisbee golfers attracted by the smell
of Cheerios and baby carrots has morphed into enormous crowds straining
to get a glimpse of the field during games. Parking has evaporated well before
the nominal start time, outfielders can no longer hear the defensive shifts
called out by the shortstop, and home run trots like Daniel's two or Richard
or Tony Ga's one have turned into obstacle course runs as overenthusiastic
fans spill onto the field. The LA County Fire Department and the City of
Pasadena have warned that any further safety violations may possibly incur
the shutting down of softball at Hahamongna.
In response, spectators to all subsequent games will need to acquire tickets
beforehand from http://homers.jplsoftball.org/special-events. Tickets are
free, and though reselling is expressly prohibited, a security detail will
counteract scalping by requiring government-issued ID for all visitors.
To further not capitalize on our unprecedented popularity, access to the
field will continue to be limited to the single entrance from Foothill
and Oak Grove instead of opening the second entrance closer to Berkshire.
Bovada has set the over/under on attendance at the next game
at 0.5 spectators.

On Monday, May 23, the HOMERS handily bested a friendly flock of
Wild Turkeys.
It was a well-rounded game for the HOMERS.
Offensively, the Tonys were perfect with five home runs in five at bats
(2 - Tony Ga, 3 - Tony Gr). One of Tony Gr's home runs nearly made it to
the infield of the other field. Richard rounded out the HOMER home runs.
Everyone made it on base. The HOMERS did not make three outs at bat in
any inning. In fact, the HOMERS had only 9 outs in the six innings of
offense, with eight mercy outs and one out for a player unavailable due
to kid duty.
Defensively, the HOMERS held the Turkeys scoreless in three innings. In
the second, the third baseman stuck her glove in the air on a line drive
and surprised everyone, including herself, by coming down with the ball.
The HOMERS, who can have late inning defensive collapses, did have a bit
of a lapse in the sixth inning allowing five runs; however it was thought
by some that the defense might have been lax in order for the HOMERS to
have more at-bats, as the HOMERS were well into a double mercy by that time.
Daniel warmed up to the shortstop position and did not let the Turkeys
come back in the last inning.
A special thanks to Jenn for subbing.

The sun hid just enough to give those Hammerin' Homers an advantage at the
plate to bring home another victory from the laughing waters of Hahamonga Park.
Their can-do attitude and moxy turned an early nail-biter into a runaway train
in the third inning, where the entire roster stepped up to the plate. The
Tony's lit up the sky: both with home runs and Tony Gr delivering his first
three home run game of the season. Richard had one of the bounciest home runs
in Homer's history, bouncing over the left fielders head. But this was a team
victory, with the Homers bats lighting up the sky with 27 baserunners,
2 triples, 6 doubles totaling 19 runs.
Solid defense sealed the deal as the Homer's avoided their usual "let's make
it interesting in the final inning," finishing strong with two shutout innings
and no home runs allowed. The enthusiasm of the Crawdad's was infectious
as a hard-fought and joyful game ended without a single broken bone.

It is that special time again in America. It only (fortunately) happens once
every four years. (No, I am not talking about the Olympics, Richard!) Yes,
it is once again campaign season. That time when candidates come up with
those memorable slogans to make us believe in them. It usually only takes
a few words to convince the masses that they are the ones for us. It
doesn't really matter if there is any substance behind the candidate, as
long as they have a catchy slogan we like.
With that in mind, HOMERS management has decided to try a few campaign
slogans out to increase the popularity of the HOMERS this season. Of course,
given that HOMERS management is generally lazy, the slogans they came up with
may seem a bit familiar, if not downright plagiarized. However, since HOMERS
management is lazy, they just don't care. With all that being said, what
do you think of these:
- Feel the HOMERS!
- HOMERS for America!
- Making HOMERS Great Again!
- HOMERS!
- Reigniting the Promise of the HOMERS!
- Rebuild the HOMERS Dream!
- HOMERS You Can Trust!
While you ponder those possibilities, and the glorious future that they
promise, I will tell you that the HOMERS continued their winning ways
this week against a large and enthusiastic group of McKringleberries.

Offensively the HOMERS kept up the pressure on the opponents thy have shown
all season long. Tony Gr had the big hit of the night with a Grand Slam
Home Run (set up by a key hit from Annette) in the first inning. This was
important since the HOMERS allowed 7 runs by the opponents in the top half
of the same inning. Richard followed up with the only other HOMERS Home Run
of the game in the 4th. Of course, the rest of the HOMERS contributed the
usual selection of supporting singles (21), doubles (5), and triples (3)
to pad all the RBI stats.
Defensively, other than the first inning, the HOMERS were sharp. Annette
made a great stop at second, and then beat the runner from first to the
bag for an impressive unassisted put out. Tony Gr made a leaping catch deep
in left center field to take away a potential Berry home run. There were
also a couple of almost spectacular defensive highlights that looked great
even if they didn't get the out. These included a sliding stop by Tony Ga
at shortstop, and an impressive relay throw from Richard to Scott at
catcher for a close play at the plate.
The HOMERS celebrated the victory with their first visit of the season
to Rounds. Participating in dinner were: Scott, Rich, Eric B, Jeff, Ron,
Sue, Becky, Sofi, Danny, Bella, Richard, and Clement.

Great Chefs and Great Sports Teams alike are keen at finding winning
recipes.
For a great peanut butter & jelly sandwich, the proper steps must be
taken -> Bread then peanut butter then jelly then bread. For a great
softball win, the recipe is as follows:
- Hit a few homers, as done by Tony, Eric & Daniel.
- Have a few batters get on base a lot without making outs
(Tony, Eric & Richard)
- Get into mercy & double mercy early (we started the last three
innings with two outs before stepping into the batters box)
- Build a big lead and hold on with great defensive plays as Annette did
when she stopped a grounder between first & second and threw against
her momentum to second for the out.
- Hold on for dear life while giving up lots of runs in the last inning.
The Homers led 23-7 until allowing nine runs in the last frame.

I'm too tired and too behind on work for anything clever, plus the game,
thoroughly enjoyable for the first hour and 45 minutes, took a bad turn
when the opposing manager Ian seemingly broke his forearm in a
slide at home plate on the last play of the game. Good luck to Ian, who
looked down at his arm and said something like, "This isn't good." In fact,
their team called 911 and summoned an ambulance (and got a fire truck thrown
in for good measure). And good luck to his team, which he's pushed to

Round Table, which no one arrived at until 8:00: Ron, Matt, Robb, Sue, Renee,
Annette, Clement, Bella, Andy, Becky, Richard
Tony and Daniel crushed no-doubt homers (2- and 3-run, respectively) in the
first to help us take a big lead, with both landing well into the outfield of
the other game. Both left around the time we got to the double mercy,
and the rest of us almost didn't have enough left in the tank to get to the
finish line. Our opponents actually took the lead in the 5th with the light
already fading, but they sportingly took the field one more innig
because we hadn't agreed on anything beforehand. I would have felt terrible
if the low light had played a part in the injury, but I'd say not.
With the bases loaded, two out, down 6, Ian hit one over Andy in LC.
Andy chased it down quickly and fired to Richard, who relayed to
Robb at C to beat Ian by five feet. Ian cut inside to avoid the tag but
fell hard at an odd angle.
Before that in the top of the last inning, our new regular Brian had the
biggest blow, a 3-run triple to put us up by 4. After three more singles,
our sub Eric hit a grand slam that the other team threw around a bit. Our
other two subs, Matt and Sandria, also played well for us, both scoring
at least twice and not getting killed by hard hit balls. Thanks to all
our newbies. Actually, everyone played well - with only 6 innings and 6
mercy outs, the team reached base safely in 43 of the 55 at bats, with
Robb, Brian, Eric, and Andy each going 5-for-5.
Defensively, the last play was nice, plus Matt at 2B caught a hard
one-hopper and threw off-balance to 1B to end the third inning, and
Sandria in her one inning away from RF wrestled a tricky grounder
to get a force out at 3B.

After taking a few months off from being out on the campaign trail the Homers
decided to head back out to a saner endeavor. As they met up with a small
crowd of Eclectic Eccentrics they started the usual banter, trying to drum
up delegates along the way. After all, someone needs to bring it home and
who better to do it than the Homers.
The Homers did their best to stay focused on items close at hand rather
than get involved in Foreign policy matters. With that in mind, Scott
started us off with a single. From there we inched along until Daniel
secured the first delegate, aka a home run, the first of the season.
Way to get things rolling Daniel. However, at the end of the first inning
we were still trailing 8 to 5. Trailing in the polls isn't something we
did for long as we came back in the 2nd inning stronger than ever scoring
14 runs. The two power hits in that inning being another home run by Daniel
and a grand slam by Tony Grecious. As we continued to gain momentum in the
3rd, 4th and 5th innings, Tony Grecious and Richard hit home runs, thus
pulling our score up to a total of 26 runs. However, things didn't go
unnoticed in the top of the 6th inning. The Homers became somewhat
distracted on the campaign trail when word came through of possible
Humvees being dropped from planes. Could that really happen or was it just
the Eclectic Eccentrics gaining ground by scoring 11 runs in the top of
the 6th. The good news is it wasn't enough of a distraction and the Homers
held on to win the latest poll with a 26 to 22 victory. Tony Grecious
pulled in the most delegates by hitting 2 homers, one a grand slam.
Some other offensive highlights were Scott, Tony Gr and Daniel getting a
hit at every at bat. Defensively, Richard practically dove behind 2nd base
to stop a ball from going out to the outfield and tossed it to 2nd for
the out. Richard also turned a double play by stepping on 2nd and throwing
the ball to first to end the game.
